Guatemala北西部のHuehuetenango県に位置するEl Injerto農園は、750ヘクタールにわたる広大な敷地を誇る、Guatemalaでも有数のコーヒー農園です。
La Libertad村の谷間に位置し、年間を通して冷涼な気候、豊富な降水量、火山性の肥沃な土壌、そして明確な乾季という、コーヒー栽培にとって理想的な環境を兼ね備えています。
オーナーのArturo Aguirre氏は、有機肥料を使用し、農園内にある250ヘクタールの天然林を守りながら、農園を徹底的に管理しています。
収穫されたコーヒーチェリーは、伝統的な水洗処理を行い、湧き水で洗浄された後、丁寧に天日乾燥されます。
このEl Injerto農園で栽培されるPacamara種は、2008年のCup of Excellenceで優勝し、グァテマラ・オークションの史上最高額である80.20ドル/lbで落札されたコーヒーです。2009年、2010年も同品評会で優勝し、史上初の3連覇という偉業で世界を驚かせました。

El Injerto Farm, located in the Huehuetenango region of northwestern Guatemala, is one of the most prominent coffee farms in the country, boasting an expansive 750 hectares. Nestled in the valley of La Libertad village, the farm benefits from a year-round cool climate, abundant rainfall, fertile volcanic soil, and a clear dry season—all ideal conditions for coffee cultivation.
The owner, Arturo Aguirre, meticulously manages the farm using organic fertilizers and preserves 250 hectares of natural forest within the farm. The harvested coffee cherries undergo traditional washed processing, are cleaned with spring water, and then carefully sun-dried.
The Pacamara variety grown at El Injerto Farm has a distinguished history, having won the Cup of Excellence in 2008 with a record-breaking auction price of $80.20 per pound. It continued to impress by winning the same competition in 2009 and 2010, achieving an unprecedented three-peat and stunning the coffee world.
