Located in the Uraga district of the Guji region in Oromia, Ethiopia, the Tabe Buruka Washing Station is nestled near the village of Suke Warakata. This washing station was established by Tadesse Elega under the operations of Balkume Company, which owns three washing stations and two dry mills actively engaged in producing high-quality specialty coffee.
Founded in 2008 as the first in the region, Tabe Buruka now serves about 300 small-scale producers in its surrounding areas. The washing station has implemented a quality-based incentive system to boost the motivation of producers and aims for sustainable coffee production.
This batch has been processed using the traditional washed method, and is characterized by the typical Ethiopian floral and elegant aromas, complemented by a fresh and clean acidity similar to orange.
