アンデス山脈の山間に位置するAgro Takesi農園は、標高5,850mのムルラタ山を一望できる、世界でも有数の標高を誇るコーヒー農園です。
この農園は、Carlos Iturralde氏が娘のMarianaさんと共に、Boliviaでも世界に通用するコーヒーが作れることを証明したいという思いで、2001年に始めた農園です。
2009年には、BoliviaのCup of Excellenceで1位を獲得し、世界中にその名を轟かせました。
標高の高さや変則的な気候によりコーヒー栽培は難しいとされていた土地を逆手に取って、その独特なテロワールで世界でも唯一無二のフレーバーとクオリティーを叩き出しています。
通常、コーヒーチェリーが花から実るまでには6〜8ヶ月かかると言われていますが、Agro Takesiではその標高の高さゆえに、10〜11ヶ月もかかるとされています。
じっくりと時間をかけて熟したコーヒーチェリーは、豊かな風味としっかりとした甘さを兼ね備えています。
今回のロットは、そんなAgro Takesiのテロワールを存分に楽しめるスペシャルなコーヒーです。
Assam Teaを思わせる芳醇な香りと、Orangeのような軽やかなフルーティーさが特徴です。

We are excited to introduce a premium coffee from Bolivia, sourced from the Agro Takesi Farm, one of the highest elevation coffee farms in the world, nestled in the Andes Mountains with a breathtaking view of Mount Mururata at 5,850 meters.
Founded in 2001 by Carlos Iturralde and his daughter Mariana, the farm was established with the ambition to prove that Bolivia could produce world-class coffee. Their efforts were recognized globally in 2009 when they won first place in Bolivia’s Cup of Excellence, making their mark on the world stage.
Agro Takesi has turned the challenging high-altitude and erratic climate—which many thought unsuitable for coffee cultivation—into an advantage, creating a unique terroir that produces unparalleled flavors and quality.
While it typically takes 6 to 8 months for coffee cherries to develop from blossom to fruit, at Agro Takesi, the high elevation extends this period to 10 to 11 months. The slowly matured coffee cherries encapsulate rich flavors and robust sweetness.
This lot offers a special opportunity to experience the distinctive terroir of Agro Takesi. It features a rich aroma reminiscent of Assam tea, coupled with the bright fruitiness of orange.
