Bolivia is pleased to announce the long-awaited addition of the Geisha variety to its lineup.
Floripondio Farm, located near Samaipata in Santa Cruz, is a relatively new farm in an area not traditionally known for coffee production. The farm's owner, Pedro Rodríguez Peñarrieta, established it in 2014, focusing on identifying the best coffee varieties for the local soil and climate by cultivating over 50 different types. The farm's name, "Floripondio," derives from the floripondio trees that flourish there, symbolizing the farm's vibrant character.
This batch has been processed using the traditional natural method. After harvesting, the cherries are manually sorted and then carefully dried under controlled temperatures and humidity. The beans are further dried in mechanical facilities for 15 days to enhance their flavor optimally.
The coffee offers a light, smooth mouthfeel reminiscent of Oolong Tea, paired with a refreshing sweetness similar to orange.
