Ethiopia Gesha Village OMA Santuario Project

Ethiopia is known as the birthplace of Geisha, and we have received a special coffee from its most famous village, Gesha Village. In 2007, Adam, born in the United States, and Rachel, born in Ethiopia, were asked by the Ethiopian government to make a documentary film about coffee. They initially started looking for farmland near the capital Addis Ababa, but the land they found did not meet their desired environmental and climatic conditions. They eventually expanded their search farther afield, and finally arrived at Gesha Village, the birthplace of Gesha. Gori Gesha Forest, a virgin forest of Gesha located about 20km from this farm, is the current habitat of Gesha.

Gesha village is located in the West Omo region in the southwest of Ethiopia. The farm covers a total area of 471 hectares, of which 320 hectares are planted to coffee, for a total of approximately 730,000 coffee trees.
We use an integrated agroforestry system that uses a variety of native tree species to provide adequate shade for the coffee.
The soil is brown clay and the average temperature ranges from 9 to 30 degrees.
There are three types of coffee grown on the farm:
This lot, Geisha1931, is a variety that was selected and developed based on the essence of classic Panamanian Geisha.

Enjoy the gorgeous aroma reminiscent of chamomile and Meyer lemon, and the rich sweetness reminiscent of honey and brown sugar.

Variety: Geisha
Altitude: 1,900-2,200m
⁡Processing: Natural
Tasting notes: Bergamot, Chamomile, Mayer Lemon, Honey, Brown Sugar, Long After
